We all have seen the impact of escalating commodity prices as we walk out of the grocery store and review the receipt. I play the cost per bag as I leave the grocery store game. Take the total price and divide by the number of bags. Not scientific but provides some insight. Results - costs are rising steadily. Ray Dalio, the founder of mega hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, always includes commodities in his All Seasons portfolio as a hedge against times like these. Janet Yellen, Sec of The Treasury appears to have little concern about significant inflation and feels the Fed has the tools to address the issue if it spikes. In the meantime, day-to-day consumers are evaluating the impact of market forces on the goods and services they use every day. Have you seen increases?
